TA Guidelines

DH is available and excited to support you with the following:

  • Communications Strategy – we can offer strategic support as you develop an outreach approach, brainstorm communications ideas and develop your communication plan and execution strategy.
  • Program Implementation – after leading community-based outreach efforts as part of DOH’s COVID-19 emergency response, we can offer recommendations for the proposal, review, contracting and reporting process.
  • Production Support – we can work with you to adapt or create unique materials to reach your community. This may include social media posts, print ads for online or in-print use, flyers, printing assistance, video and photography, and document translations.

Check out our TA one sheet for more information.

TA FAQs

How do I request TA support?

Submit your technical assistance request using the TA submission form above or reach out to a DH Communications Strategist.

How long do TA production support projects typically take?

It depends! Some needs can be met quickly through a strategic conversation or review of messaging and assets we already have on hand. Other requests take more time, such as video production. When you submit a TA request, our team will discuss the project timeline with you and work to ensure your needs are met in a timely manner.

Who will I be working with during the TA process?

DH’s team of Program Strategists, Communication Strategists, Creative Strategists and Program Coordinators will support you throughout the TA process. Based on your request, we will put together a team of DHers with skills relevant to your needs. Get to know our team members on the Contact Us page.

What kind of materials can I make?

Just about anything! We’ve supported several infographic, video and translation projects, but we’ve also created pieces like informational stickers for fresh baked bread and restaurant placemats for coloring. Explore the list below or always feel free to bring new ideas to our team.

  • Messaging, copywriting, content development – any type of writing whether it is fact sheets about COVID-19, FAQs, posters, or blog posts
  • Graphic design services – social media posts and cover photos, custom flyers with info and imagery (infographic), print advertisements and postcards
  • Video production support – scripting of a video, providing voiceover in a video, recording and editing a video, addition of captions or subtitles, title card or slide at the beginning of a video that has branding and a title for the video and an end card or end slide that provides a link to find more info, and/or branding.
  • Language translations – the translation of information from one language to another, ensuring that it is culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate
  • Media buy – purchasing media either on social platforms, radio, TV or streaming services to reach a certain audience
Does TA support cost anything?

Technical Assistance support is available to all contracted partners at no cost to the partner. TA is a limited resource and our goal is to ensure everyone has access to the TA resources and support they need. DH will work together with partners to support projects based on available resources, capacity and community needs. We look forward to working with you!
