In a recent webinar, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) announced that the COVID-19 vaccine will not be required for K-12 students for the 2023-2024 school year.
This announcement was one of several updates to immunization requirements for pre-K and K-12 students made by DOH Immunization Nurse Consultant Katherine Graff.
While the COVID-19 vaccine is not required, Secretary of Health Dr. Umair A. Shah affirmed DOH’s continued work to get people vaccinated.
