The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and Desautel Hege (DH) would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated in the DOH COVID-19 Community Media Outreach (CMO) program. Over the past two years, your commitment to meeting the needs of your communities has allowed us to extend the program’s reach to over 4 million people across the state.
Together with more than 200 contracted CMO partners and $19.5 million in funding, we were able to:
- Share more than 15,000 customized communications
- Reach more than 52 communities in 92 languages
- Host more than 300 vaccination events
- Vaccinate thousands of community members
- Save countless lives
In recognition of our gratitude, DH team members put together a Kudoboard expressing our appreciation for all your hard work and dedication. Through your advocacy, you helped us achieve our goal of supporting communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic by providing vital and appropriate COVID-19 information and vaccines. Thanks to you, we were able to advance equitable public health practices and transform the ways public health agencies interact with diverse communities.
