The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month and celebrates the work partners do together with Spanish-speaking communities to establish and maintain access to public health resources. Each year, from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
While Hispanic Heritage Month has ended, DOH supports Spanish-speaking communities year-round with Spanish-language materials and resources, so community partners can continue to make a difference. Here are some Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) resources you can share with your communities:
- PHCC Updated COVID-19 Booster Dose Toolkit
- Partnering for Vaccine Equity Vaccine Resource Hub
- Mental Health America #BeyondTheNumbers/#MásQueNumeros Mental Health Toolkit
- U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health Hispanic Heritage Month Resources
- Greater than COVID: The Conversation/La Conversación COVID-19 Vaccine Video Series
You can also find a variety of Spanish-language materials and resources within our Dropbox. Access the DOH COVID-19 Child Care Guidance Brief here or explore the Latino Northwest Assets folder for additional Spanish resources.
