CDC Foundation & Vaccine Equity Cooperative Antiviral Webinar

June 28, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The CDC Foundation & Vaccine Equity Cooperative are hosting a webinar titled, “The Who, What, Where and When of COVID-19 Treatments: Everything You Need to Know About Lifesaving Antivirals” on June 28 at 12 p.m. PST. Those interested in attending can register here. Spanish translation available. El seminario web estará disponible en español.

While COVID-19 antiviral treatments are now widely available, many community-based organizations supporting pandemic efforts are struggling to ensure the most impacted and at-risk individuals have access to these treatments. Federal programs such as the Test to Treat Initiative are working to equitably distribute antiviral treatments, but local organizations and health workforces need to know how these programs work in their communities.

During this interactive webinar, community-based organizations, workforces, and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) will:

  • Receive the latest information and resources available on COVID-19 antivirals and the Test to Treat initiative;
  • Learn about clinical/community organization partnerships and how we can make it easier for individuals to access treatment and information;
  • Share feedback to senior officials on the CDC and White House COVID-19 response teams regarding barriers your communities encounter when accessing these treatments; and
  • Discuss recommendations to make the oral antiviral program more equitable and effective.
