The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided updated resources and guidance on steps to take, such as isolation and masking, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or been exposed to someone who has, use this isolation and exposure calculator to determine the next steps you can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The CDC recommends isolating for at least five days, or until you are fever free for 24 hours if you test positive for COVID-19. Wearing a mask is recommended for ten days after you test positive or from the onset of your symptoms.
