The Department of Health (DOH) launched the COVID-19 Vaccine Implementation Collaborative in February 2021. The Collaborative brings an equity and social justice lens to DOH’s vaccine planning and implementation efforts and centers the voices of people and communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Many of you have used this space to share your expertise and learn from fellow community partners throughout the pandemic. Though the Collaborative is currently focused on COVID-19, it may also address pandemic recovery efforts and other health inequities in the future.
Next DOH Collaborative Session
The next DOH Collaborative session is today, March 2 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. PST. This session will be facilitated by Collaborative Thought Partner Zyna Bakari of Urban League Metropolitan of Seattle. Register here to join today’s collaborative session.
Vaccine Implementation Collaborative Portal
DOH understands that partners may not always be able to join and engage in DOH Collaborative sessions. To foster opportunities for collaboration beyond Collaborative sessions, DOH launched an external engagement platform–The Vaccine Implementation Collaborative WA Portal. The portal will serve as a virtual platform to support partner connection, collaboration and resource sharing.
The Vaccine Implementation Collaborative, hosted on the WA Portal site, includes the following information and resources:
- Updates and News: Recent Collaborative updates and news, opportunities, and resources
- Collaborative Session Materials: All Collaborative session notes, presentations, community questions/answers and additional session materials categorized by meeting date
- Calendars: Calendar invites and details for all upcoming Collaborative sessions. Additionally, the Partner Events Calendar will serve as a way to learn about upcoming partner events
- Community Collaborative: A space for members of the Collaborative to share thoughts, inspire, and connect with one another within the WA Portal site.
- Partners will need to login to ‘My Portal’ to access this. DOH can help you set up your ‘My Portal’ and walk you through the platform! If you are interested in this support, please email Vax.Collaborative@doh.wa.gov.
- Community Resources: COVID-19 material and resources created or produced by community partners
- The COVID-19 resources included are those developed by external partners such as community-rooted organizations and community media outlets using funding provided by the WA State Department of Health. These resources reflect different stages of the pandemic. Please only share resources that align with current public health guidance. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to Vax.Collaborative@doh.wa.gov.
- Additional COVID-19 Resources: Department of Health’s COVID-19 resources and webpages provided in 40 languages
Upcoming additions to the Vaccine Implementation Collaborative Portal include a Spanish version of the portal as well as additional community spaces including a Collaborative Thought Partners space, an Access Functional Needs Disability Partner Space, and a LatinX Community Partner Space.
As always, DOH welcomes all partner feedback related to this portal. Please share recommendations of items to add or remove, insights or concerns related to accessibility, feedback on how helpful this resource is, and any partner events or resources that should be included.
