On November 4, The Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBE) released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for their Health Insurance Education & Outreach Campaign. According to the RFP (linked below), WAHBE is seeking community partners to conduct culturally responsive outreach and education about new insurance coverage options available through Washington Healthplanfinder (HPF) to newly eligible populations, including those who cannot currently get health coverage due to immigration status.
In order to qualify for funding, partners must have:
- Demonstrated experience conducting outreach and education within immigrant communities in Washington
- An understanding of the health insurance landscape in Washington
- Demonstrated experience conducting statewide outreach and education campaigns
- Experience accommodating language barriers through translation and/or interpreter services
Proposals are due on December 2, 2022, by 3 p.m. PST. Selected partners will be notified in January and contracted from February 1 to June 30, 2023.
WAHBE is an independent sector of the Washington state government that serves as the state’s health insurance marketplace, allowing residents to receive financial assistance with coverage and compare insurance plans from top providers.
