Youth Vaccination and Outreach Opportunities: Upcoming Community Conversation and DOH Vaccinating Youth Page Available in 46 Languages

January 18, 2022

Children ages 5 and up are eligible for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. As parents pursue vaccination for their children, many are seeking youth-specific vaccine resources, including information on safety and availability.

In response, the Department of Health (DOH) created a Vaccinating Youth resource page. This page provides information about vaccine safety and effectiveness in children, vaccine authorization practices, clinical trial data, and frequently asked questions for parents and guardians. The Vaccinating Youth page is available in 46 languages.*

In addition, DH and DOH are partnering to host a community conversation on youth outreach on Thursday, January 20 from 1 pm-2:30 pm. This conversation will create space for partners to learn more about youth outreach and share your own experiences related to this important topic. Please consider joining us and sharing your insights. Register for the upcoming community conversation here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0sdu2sqTwiHdFDSSTqa-Frgv2cXLkNmY95. Live captioning in Spanish and English and ASL interpretation will be available to attendees. Please reach out to bethm@wearedh.com to request any additional accommodations.

Additional resources related to youth outreach are available in our Youth and Vaccine Dropbox folder. If you have questions or needs related to youth vaccination, please reach out to a DH team member.
