Care-a-Van Resources Available to Washington Communities

May 24, 2023

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) partners with community organizations and local health jurisdictions to increase access to vaccines through the DOH Care-a-Van, a mobile vaccine clinic serving communities across Washington.

Organizations can request the DOH Care-a-Van at their event(s) by filling out this online form. Care-a-Van requests must be submitted at least 15 days prior to an event. Requests will be fulfilled based on staff and vaccinator availability. For more information, visit the DOH Care-a-Van page or email care-a-van@doh.wa.gov.

Access a calendar of upcoming Care-a-Van events on the Community Partner Page or on the DOH Care-a-Van page under “Where can I find a Care-a-Van clinic?” in the FAQs.

New Pilot Program

Starting May 2023, DOH began piloting childhood vaccine Care-a-Van services for children 3 years of age and older. The pilot program aims to increase access to vaccines and support families by offering mandatory school vaccines on school property. The pilot program has limited capacity and these Care-a-Van events must be scheduled in advance.
