October Community Collaborative Recap

October 25, 2023

Last week, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and Community Collaborative Thought Partner Todd Holloway with Center for Independence (CFI) hosted the October Community Collaborative meeting, which covered the topics of respiratory virus season and immunization updates.

DOH staff shared common signs and symptoms of influenza, RSV and COVID-19 as well as the latest vaccination recommendations. Anyone who is eligible to receive all three vaccines can get them at the same time. The meeting also covered the manufacturer restrictions that have led to the 2023-2024 COVID-19 and RSV vaccine supply delays. Finally, the DOH Power of Providers (POP) team spoke about their upcoming webinars and invited partners to join. Community Collaborative meetings occur every month and bring community partners together to ensure an equity and social justice lens is applied to DOH’s planning and decision-making opportunities related to recovery work.
