Public Health Seattle King County Releases Health Equity Capacity Building RFP

Public Health Seattle and King County (PHSKC) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for their Health Equity Capacity Building grant. Community-based organizations (CBOs) serving Seattle and King County are invited to respond to the RFP, which aims to support organizations as they continue their COVID-19 efforts and build additional capacity for future health equity work.  

According to the RFP document, the purpose of this funding is to support CBOs that have been working to address health disparities, particularly in these areas:     

  • COVID-19 and related health inequities   
  • Health services, health education and outreach, and language access    
  • Black, Latinx, Native American/Indigenous, Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander, and Immigrant and Refugee populations disproportionately impacted by COVID-19   
  • Geographic areas disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, especial south King County and south and central Seattle

Timeline 

Proposals are due on January 27, 2023 by 11:59 p.m. Additional timeline milestones are as follows: 

  • Submit requests for technical assistance by January 20, 2023 
  • Submit questions by January 23, 2023 
  • Proposals are due on January 27, 2023 by 11:59 p.m. 
  • Notification of selected and non-selected applications January 30 – February 10, 2023 
  • Anticipated program/contract start date March 1, 2023
