Updated COVID-19 Resources Available

February 27, 2024

Below is an updated list of free COVID-19 resources available to the public:

At-home test kits

Free at-home COVID-19 tests can be ordered here. Each household in the U.S. can receive an order of four tests.

People with Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) can get up to two at-home COVID-19 test kits per month at pharmacies that accept Apple Health coverage. No prescription is required. Get the details on this Apple Health benefit here

Telehealth appointments

A free telehealth service sponsored by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) can make COVID-19 antiviral medication attainable for people without access to care.

After a positive test, anyone in Washington can schedule a virtual appointment—online or by phone—with a health care provider to see if oral antiviral treatments are right for them. The free consultations begin here. Treatment requires a prescription and must begin within five days of the onset of COVID-19 symptoms.

Paying for the medication is separate. People with Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, or Indian Health Services receive medication at no cost through the U.S. Government Patient Assistance Program. After getting a prescription, they should call 1-877-219-7225 or visit the PAXCESS Patient Portal to enroll. People with private insurance can apply for the co-pay savings program at Paxlovid.com for reduced or no-cost medication.
